Hessian

Starting a Game
Move the joystick up and down on the start screen to cycle between options. Press the Fire button to select the highlighted choice.

Gameplay
Hessian puts the player in control of security guard Kim, tasked with working a night shift patrolling a science complex. After waking up in a cargo container converted into an improvised operating room, with little memory of how she got there, it’s up to Kim to find out what’s going on.
Press the Fire button on the joystick to proceed to the next line or page of text.
Kim can use powerful attacks to eliminate enemies. Press the Fire button on the joystick and move the joystick in any direction to attack. Depending on the weapon equipped, the attack may be ranged (shooting an equipped weapon) or melee (kicking and punching) To enter the pause menu, press the Pause menu button on the joystick. Alternatively, press the Fire button on the joystick for longer than one second.
To cycle between obtained weapons, press the Select weapon (left) or Select weapon (right) buttons on the joystick. Alternatively, press and hold the Fire button on the joystick for around half a second, until the item name and selection arrows appear on the text window at the bottom right-hand side of the screen. While holding fire, move the joystick left or right to cycle weapons.
Kim can interact with objects found throughout the facility. When standing next to an interactable object, a flashing arrow will appear next to it. Move the joystick up while this arrow is visible to interact with the object.
Battery power
Kim’s injected nanobots use battery power to keep her alive. While low on health, Kim will slowly regain health at the expense of battery power, so long as she has more than 25% of it.
If Kim ever runs out of battery power, her circulation will shut down! Keep an eye out for batteries to keep Kim at nominal power levels. Equip a battery in Kim’s hands and move the joystick down to use the battery and restore Kim’s power levels.

Story
Take the role of Kim, a low-clearance security guard working a permanent night shift (on her request) at the Throne Group Science Complex.
One night, she wakes up inside a cargo container converted to an improvised emergency operating room. All she remembers are multiple unknown hostiles firing at the staff, heavy rounds hammering into her chest and everything going black, then finally the shouted words filtering into her consciousness: “Massive trauma.. Need artificial circulation.. Prepare the nanobot injection now!”
