It’s Magic 2
In this scrolling platformer, guide the young apprentice magician Tom as he faces a new threat to the peaceful Dream Islands. Solve puzzles, and overcome tricky platforming challenges in an adventure full of charm and challenge.
Starting a Game
- To skip the intro sequence, press the Skip intro button on the joystick and enter the main menu.
- When prompted for a level code, press the Skip password button on the joystick, or press the Menu button on the joystick and use the on-screen keyboard to enter a valid level code.
Gameplay
It’s magic 2 puts the player in control of the young apprentice magician Tom Tatze, tasked with saving the Dream Islands from an evil wizard by traveling through each of the 5 islands, collecting all of the diamonds, and defeating the evil wizard’s monster allies.
Reach the end of each level after collecting all the diamonds to progress!
Pickups
When Tommy destroys a monster, they have a small chance to drop a pickup. Each pickup gives Tommy different bonuses:
- Heart
- Collect 6 hearts to gain an extra life. As more hearts are collected, the score display becomes more colourful.
- Clock
- Stops the level timer for a short period, flashing the level timer
- Bomb
- Destroys all enemies on the screen when picked up
- Diamond
- Doubles the score bonus from all point-scoring actions for a brief period, flashing the score display
- Bottle
- Grants Tommy invulnerability for a short time
- Scoredoubler
- Doubles the score you collect for a while

Story
The story that is to be told began a long, long time ago, in a land that we know only through tales and sagas today, the Dream Islands.
In this wonderful place, a little group of islands in the middle of a big blue ocean, all animals lived together happily, amongst them also our lovely tomcat
And what’s the name of our little hero? Well, you might already know.
He is called Tom Tatze!
After his first great adventure, his trip to the outlands, Tommy returned to his home islands, where all the animals could now live in peace again, saved from the threats of the monsters from the outlands. On his return he was celebrated as the great hero and liberator of the Dream Islands. Also his old and wise magics master took him up again and continued to teach him.
Years passed…
And Tommy became a powerful magician, but there was one thing that the old and wise wizard could never change: the curiosity of the little tomcat. Throughout all the years, Tommy often thought of the outlands and learned more and more about these mysterious islands.
Still he was intrigued by one thing that remained forbidden.
His master never allowed Tommy to go to the library. Well, those who know our little Tommy also know that his curiosity usually gets the better of his good sense…
One day, when the master was not at home, Tom crept into the library and rummaged for something interesting. After only a few minutes Tommy discovered something that caught his attention. It was a very, very old chest on which a magical spell has been cast. Tommy tried to open it, but without success. Now Tom noticed a lot of different warnings everywhere on the chest, but he didn’t stop trying to open it. On the contrary, they made him even more determined. Now Tom tried to open the chest with a magical spell, and still nothing happened.
Using a very powerful spell, the lock finally flew open. Before Tommy had a chance to open the case, it suddenly flew open all by itself, and a haze rose.
Through the thick haze he heard a grim voice that said: “I am free again, after thousands of years the revenge is mine!” And before Tommy could understand anything, he was once again in the middle of a big adventure.
The thing our little hero did not know, was that his old and wise master had an evil stepbrother who tried to become the ruler over the Dream Islands many times. But thousands of years ago Tommy’s teacher had defeated him and had locked him up in exactly this little chest, where he should have stayed for eternity.
