Move the Cybernoid around the screen using the movement keys. Moving upwards engages the Cybernoids thrusters - releasing the up movement key will cause the ship to slowly float down to the floor.
Tap the fire key to fire the ships cannons. Hold the fire key to use the selected secondary weapon.
If a projectile or enemy touches the ship, the player loses a ship, and the Cybernoid is respawned at the starting position of the current screen.
The top right of the screen displays a game timer for the current level. If the player stays on one screen for too long, the Cybernoid will malfunction and explode, respawning at the starting location of the screen.
If the player spends too long on one screen, the Cybernoid will malfunction and explode.
When a pirate craft has been destroyed it will drop its cargo of stolen objects. Manoeuvre your ship over the object to retrieve it.
Certain objects will alter the appearance of your ship; these objects offer external weaponry that can be utilised on difficult screens.
Occasionally, when a pirate craft is destroyed it will drop a yellow canister. This canister, when retrieved, will increase the ammunition of the currently selected weapon by one.
Keys 1 - 5 on the keyboard cycle through your ships available weapon modes:
Key | Weapon | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | BOMBS | Default secondary weaponry. Used to destroy turrets and other larger enemies. |
2 | IMPACT MINES | Place a mine which explodes upon enemy impact. |
3 | DEFENCE SHIELD | Temporarily makes the Cybernoid invulnerable. |
4 | BOUNCE BOMBS | Bombs which bounce around the screen, exploding on impact with an enemy. |
5 | SEEKER | Homing missiles which lock-on to a nearby enemy. |
Federation storage depots have been raided by pirates, taking valuable minerals, jewels, ammunition and the latest battle weaponry. You have been commissioned by the Federation to retrieve the cargo and return it to a storage within a specified time limit. Extra points and an extra ship will be awarded if you succeed.
The pirate craft have activated all planetary defence systems which you will have to negotiate as well as the pirates themselves. If you fail to reach the depot within the time limit or the value of your retrieved cargo is insufficient you must forfeit one of your Cybernoid ships.
