Why isn't the virtual keyboard displaying fully?

If the sides of the Virtual Keyboard are not displaying fully and appear to be chopped off, this is an indication that your television is not displaying a full 720p image.

For example, some TVs have a display resolution that is larger than 720 high and may zoom the image to fit. This expansion means that the left and right edges of the image will now be off screen.

If you have a TV that is doing this, there are two common fixes:

  1. Disable any scaling the TV is performing by changing the TV settings (preferred)

or

  1. Tell THEA500 Mini to avoid using the screen edges by turning off the setting Use screen edges in Options → Advanced settings → Television settings. This creates a safe margin around the game image so that most non-compliant TVs can display the image completely.
